SUN4WATER is a 2-year Project co-funded by the Eurostars-7 joint programme and the European Union Horizon-Europe research and innovation programme

The purpose of the Project is to to develop the first fully atmospheric water precision irrigation solution, easily installed by greenhouses, hydroponic and small crop farms, affected by water scarcity to produce locally the water they need.
The solution will be developed as a low-tech panel, based on passive “Adsorption” technology.

WATER GENERATION
Generate enough water from the atmosphere in area facing water scarcity.
WEATHER STATION INTEGRATION
Including weather forecasts and hygrometric data.
USE OF POLYMER CRYSTALS
During the sowing process, introduced into the soil to retain water at the plant’s roots.

SOIL MOISTURE SENSORS
Placed near the plant roots, providing real-time data on the effectiveness of the irrigation
ENERGY AUTONOMOUS SYSTEM
Capable of producing water continuously, even in difficult climatic conditions
DEMO IN REAL CONDITIONS
Pilot sites in France, Crete and Morocco to demonstrate the solution’s efficiency.
